Appen has a new Australian English Telephony speech collection project and is seeking experienced Customer Service / Call Centre Agents to participate in this project. The purpose of this project is to develop and enhance speech recognition programs.
Your task will be to recruit at least 5 different speakers and make phone calls using a website provided by Appen. We will need in total 5 hours of phone conversations, and you can choose to recruit 5 speakers and talk for 1 hour with each of them, or you can recruit 10 people and talk for 30 minutes with each.
You will be performing the role of an Agent and will be calling different speakers performing the role of customers. You will be provided with non-scripted scenarios relevant to a specified domain (e.g. banking, telco, insurance, hotel bookings, etc), so experience working in a Call Centre environment would be beneficial.
