We are currently looking for computational linguists with native level Polish language skills, as independent contractors, who would assist the client with their NLU data procurement in an effort to develop a speech recognizer. The computational linguist would work with the client's team of NLU linguists and engineer to develop their speech recognizer. Tasks will include:
1. help determine specifications of the project,
2. setup new collections or
3. help determine if existing data may be reused.
Other tasks include building of the language models:
5. drafting slot lists, and
6. training statistical models.
All work will be done remotely on a client provided, secure device. Candidates should be available for approximately 24 hours per week, starting in January 2019. Qualifying candidates must pass a technical screener as well as a background check.
The project focuses on assisting the client with their NLU data procurement. The client will provide training for their proprietary tools for data activities and NLU buffers building. All work can be performed remotely, in contact and with the support of the client's NLU team members.

Advanced degree in Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or other relevant technical field
Native-level speaker of Polish
Fluency in English (written and oral)
Industry experience in NLU
