Senior Product Manager – Trust & Safety



Job Description:

Appen provides high-quality AI training data solutions from data source to quality labeled data to data validation. Our company has over 20 years of expertise in delivering training data for thousands of projects globally to give you the confidence to deploy your world-class AI programs at scale. In this role, you will own and drive trust & safety product features from worker onboarding to production delivery. You will be responsible for the roadmap strategy and execution by collaborating with Trust & Safety policy committee and internal/external business owners to understand business problems and working closely with the ML engineering teams to deliver solutions.


Key responsibility:

  1. Work with Trust & Safety committee to enforce policy and define product solutions to improve worker integrity and gain customer trust.
  2. Work with internal & external customers to acquire a deep understanding of business needs and requirements.
  3. Define product strategy and roadmap to support business needs using the ML models to detect fraud at scale.
  4. Understand and translate customer problems into product requirements, including user stories and user journey maps.
  5. Prioritize features and development efforts based on a thorough understanding of customer and business needs and company strategy
  6. Advocating for change with a variety of teams across Appen.
  7. Partner with internal business owners to define KPIs and metrics that can measure the success of deliverables.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5 - 7+ years of product management experience
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS platform


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in defining and building AI/machine learning applications.
  • Experience with building and designing tools that detect, classify, and enforce trust & safety policy violations.
  • Experience with machine learning solutions driven by business requirements
  • Experience with various aspects of trust, safety, fraud, and abuse types in technology, mail, content, and account space.
  • Ability to execute and manage expectations across various functional teams.
  • Provide expertise on trust and safety-related issues and communicate key initiatives across the company.
