We are looking for an Events Manager passionate about the impact a solid events strategy can have to create meaningful experiences, raise brand awareness, and engage prospects and clients through the sales pipeline.

 

The Enterprise Events Manager is part of our demand generation team and is responsible for owning and developing our event marketing strategy to drive pipeline creation and customer expansion across Appen’s business lines. This is a key role that will focus on the Americas, EMEA, and APAC territories.

The role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent execution, a love for data, and the ability to execute cohesive end-to-end event programs that exceed KPIs.

 

Ideally the candidate will be located in Seattle, but will consider remote US for qualified candidates.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

As Enterprise Events Manager, you will:

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leaders to create a global events strategy
  • End-to-end project management of all events including external and internal events, both in-person and virtual.
  • Work with Corporate and Product Marketing to ensure Appen’s brand is properly represented in all event collateral and booth design
  • End-to-end project management of all events.
  • Understand and communicate Appen’s value proposition to vendors and to ensure booths are equipped with proper sales enablement materials
  • Identify new events and opportunities
  • Manage relationships with existing event vendors and negotiate event fees
  • Report on event return on investment and lead generation effectiveness through lead analysis and revenue attribution
  • Have ownership over our gifting platform and branded merch
  • Represent Appen’s brand in a professional manner to all vendors, customers, prospects, and team members.
  • Partner with senior leadership team to drive a range of internal corporate event needs, with an eye toward successfully engaging globally dispersed teams

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 5+ years event management or marketing project management experience
  • Excellent project management skills and get-it-done attitude -- ability to manage multiple
    complex projects involving various stakeholders simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally
  • Experience with the B2B buyers’ journey and funnel metrics; ability to measure, analyze, and report on performance and
    adjust accordingly
  • Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Unbounce, Terminus, and Microsoft Excell
  • Ability to travel up to 25% - 50% of your time, pending in-person event schedules
