Position Summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for providing reporting and analytical support to enable data-driven decision making.
He/she will support project & operations group by creating custom-reports that require Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) related steps, and build user-friendly & scalable Power BI-based dashboards and other reporting formats, to drive more meaningful insights; (underscoring accuracy & data integrity). This role is expected to continually seek to improve existing reporting processes, frequency, and distribution methods by incorporating automation techniques, initiatives, and technology trends -- he/she must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights.
He/she must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams, underscoring changing requirements;
Can be assigned to different projects local and global needing Data Analyst support.

Responsibilities

• Creates dashboard summaries for reporting purposes using Excel, Power BI;
  
• ETL of data from various sources that are used for business-specific reporting.
  
• Responsible for the detailed consultation and implementation of the required data analytics solution
  
• Understand internal clients’ needs and propose appropriate analytical solutions.
  
• Utilize data sets to identify trends
  
• Serve as a technical liaison effectively working with data and configuration of different tools or applications to meet specific client objectives.
  
• Conceptualizes and develops tools/scripts that can automate the reporting process (usage of complex formula, Excel Macro, VBA, SQL).
  
• Builds new reports and templates on top of existing business systems and makes them available to all users"; Creates and tests dynamic reports based on the designed format
  
• Designs, tests and proposes improvement to reporting process optimization

 Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Advanced experience in Excel (Macros and VBA scripting)
  
• Deep to Expert in Power BI data visualization is a must
  
• Working experience in Programming, SQL, HIVEQL, etc (e.g. building Tables, creating ETL packages (Extract, Transform, Loading packages) - knowledge in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a plus
  
• Experience in extracting, transforming and loading data from source systems to data analytics platform(s) and reports
  
• Experience in analysing different types of data to support business needs and present the results in concise visualisation formats
  
• Detail oriented, independent and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines; Adaptable to various stakeholders, business models, and changing requirements
  
• Has an inquisitive mind and proactivity to challenge the norms constructively
  
• Good communication and presentation skills; Engaging and influencing stakeholders
  

 Qualifications and Experience

• At least 3 years of being an Operations Analyst
  
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma, or the equivalent, preferred. Degree/Diploma in computer science, finance or statistics/mathematics a plus
  
• 3+ years solid experience with data visualization or business intelligence development; business analytics & dashboard design experience
