Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics, the financial BI analyst will produce commercial, financial, and operational insights and reports to support decision making across the Global division through preparation and analysis of budget, forecast and sales/operational performance. 



  • Forecast Management
    • Preparation and Management of Monthly Revenue and Margin Forecast with Sales and Operations
    • Identify relevant insights and compile analytical reports highlighting variances, trends, and risk analysis
    • Create scenarios for forecast sensitivity
    • Update Forecast Dashboard and implement continuous improvements and new visualizations based on new business requirements
    • Build a new predictive analytical model to improve accuracy of forecast and sales conversion
    • Propose and implement areas of automation to the existing forecasting process
  • Budget Preparation and Management
    • Create pre-read material to support business leaders in preparation of annual budgets
    • Aggregate multiple BUs entries into a divisional dashboard highlighting main drivers and YoY variances
    • Facilitate budget workshop with leadership and propose areas of opportunities and/or reductions based on historical data
    • Reconcile and manage budget entries in Adaptive prior to final submission to Finance to deliver to Revenue, Margins and EBITDA targets
  • Financial Modelling
    • Create financial models to support business launch new initiative and products with positive ROI
    • Identify main financial cost drivers and translate it to operations


 Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in Forecasting, Budget and P&L Management
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand financial statements
  • Ability to source and work with large amounts of data from different data sources; SQL (including Mode Analytics), Advanced Excel, SAS, R, Python and Power BI including Power Query and Dax measures
  • Ability to create data models
  • Experience in creating predictive statistical models based on historical data (preferred)
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Workday and Jira
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an environment characterized by constant change, ambiguous data and a fast-paced, deadline-driven culture; able to respond quickly and proactively to new or changed initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate workshops


 Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Business, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or other Data Sciences; or an equivalent combination of education and 4+ years’ experience.
  • CPA (preferred)
  • 6+ years working with forecasting and budgeting
  • Experience in Data Analytics in a plus
