Global Demand Planner


Position Summary

The Global Demand Planner is a highly visible, client-facing role on the account leadership team. You will partner with our client to plan and launch new programs, building client confidence in our ability to meet their business needs and be their supplier of choice.  In this critical account role, you will bring a high level of value add to the client and to the account by sharing unique points of view and making recommendations supported by data. You will also partner internally with project teams, as well as cross-functional teams such as recruiting, qualification, and trust & safety. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate advanced skills in critical analysis, negotiation, and executive communications – written and verbal



  • Build a trusted relationship with all client stakeholders such that your views are sought after, that you have positive influence over decision making, and that you help the account team become the vendor of choice
  • Partner internally with cross functional teams to influence their support of the client account and the account
  • Collaborate with project teams to collect data, to review current processes, and to propose efficiencies
  • Develop demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation for a global workforce across multiple time horizons
  • Prepare real-time analysis to provide unique business insights for the client and the account, with the objective of ensuring that client demand needs are anticipated and met on an ongoing basis
  • Review historical trends, research demand drivers, prepare supply data, develop statistical planning models and evaluate resuts
  • Prepare and perfect reports pertaining to the demand planning process.
  • Lead meetings, discussions, and negotiations with the client to influence their selection of Appen as the preferred vendor
  • Drive effective scoping of all new projects to ensure consistency and accuracy of planning process and diligent risk assessment
  • Effectively communicate any changes or unexpected fluctuations in work volumes or supply. Partner with the project teams and the client to assess impacts and formalize changes.
  • Influence the client’s inventory strategies and project awards to vendors
  • Understand and make decisions about strategic business needs while simultaneously operating at a tactical level
  • Address report/information requests, clearly communicating commitments, issues, completion dates and status with requestors and with management
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to interact with all organizational levels including senior leadership
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
  • Demonstate unmatched and persistent attention to detail


 Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Expertise in complex workforce management, analysis and reporting
  • Experience in project estimation, resourcing, planning, and change management
  • Experience in supply and demand management
  • Experience managing reports, building reports, data analysis, and building meeting materials for executive stakeholders
