  IT Secutrity Analyst - Hybrid       Position Summary   IT Security Analyst at Appen will plan, implement, monitor, and manage IT security operational measures to protect the organization's data, systems, and computer networks from cyber-attacks. This position will also help to develop organization-wide best practices for IT security. He/She will monitor computer networks for security issues, install security software and document all security issues or breaches you find.       Responsibilities   - Oversee the implementation, administration, and operation of multiple endpoint security technologies such as but not limited to Sophos, CrowdStrike, Tenable and SIEM - Perform health check of Endpoint protection and SIEM tools, update with latest signatures and maintain the minimum hygiene of IT systems - Performs vulnerability discovery and validation using in-house tools, analyzes incoming vulnerability reports to determine technical validity and merit - Administration of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) environments and monitoring and responding to the alerts that generate from the tool. - Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities. Data Collection Supervisor   Position Summary   The Data Collection Supervisor will be required to work as part of the Data Collection team for a fixed term until project completion, ensuring that the data required for the project is collected to the required quality standards. You will independently interact with members of the public who have been recruited to take part in the project based on demographic quotas, advise them about the project requirements, handle data release consent forms, accompany participants during collection, and liaise with the recruitment teams where necessary. Sr QA Engineer       About the Role   We are looking for a white box performance QA Engineer who has strong hands-on experience in extending and optimizing existing frameworks for stress & performance, service/integration testing on a complex Web Application. You will be working with the backend development engineering team and DevOps team to develop code and provide insight into the performance, scalability customer usage and failure analysis, generate test data, and simulations. You will be navigating the codebase/API, identifying weak spots and constantly designing better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems. Some organizations refer to this as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or QA Automation Engineer.   Primary Responsibilities - Work closely with DevOps team to support multiple test environments - Work closely with architects, developers and QA Engineers to design, build, extend and execute Performance tests - Generate and analyze test results to improve scalability of the product - Understand the flow of code and how it interacts with different components - Reproduce, debug and find root cause of existing performance product issues - Identify weak spots and potential problems - Constantly design better and creative ways to break software - Continuously improve the existing automation, speed, quality, and automate repeated tasks - Work with QA team and other engineers to create testing tools and debug automation failures Skills & Experience - 3-5 years of hands-on experience in designing and building various API testing frameworks and/or End-to-End automation frameworks using Python - Expertise using tools to build and optimize frameworks, such as Lucas, Grafana and PyTest - 1-2 years of experience with AWS, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, SDLC, CICD pipeline - 1-2 years of experience with relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL - 2-3 years of experience working with service-oriented architectures - 1-2 years of experience working with Kafka - Knowledge of test methodologies and working experience writing excellent test plans and test reports - Proactive, have passion in testing, love challenges, quick learner, detail oriented, analytical, problem solver with “get the work done” attitude - Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field   About Appen    Appen is the global leader in data for the AI Lifecycle. Senior Front-End Engineer    Position Summary:    As a member of our UX team you will be building annotation tools marking up text, audio, images, video and other data types for use in creating machine learning models.
